Charming barn conversion Eymet | Sleeps 9

Margoux was delightful and suited all our needs. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pool was much loved and used. The owner was friendly and helpful and kept very much to himself and didn’t intrude. Customer experience with yourselves has been exemplary with all queries answered in a timely manner. All in all a great holiday experience for all my family.

We had a lovely holiday. We found the gite to be clean and liked the fact we were given clean towels and bedding for the second week. The owner was helpful when needed but kept himself out of our way. Overall the gite was very nice and the pool was beautiful. We’ll be sure use you again to book any future trips.

We had a wonderful stay at Margoux with French Gite Holidays. Neil was a perfect host, available when needed but completely unobtrusive. The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We loved the outdoor veranda area with its comfy seating and wide, round dining table for family meals. The pool is the perfect size for both fun and games and swimming and the recliners were great for sunbathing.

We also loved the view over the adjacent field, the dark starry skies at night and the overall quiet of the surrounding countryside. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We had a fantastic two weeks at Margoux in August 2022. The property has a rustic charm and was very big for the 6 of us. The pool was large, lovely and clean and the shade of the large ash tree gives welcome protection from the hot sun. We saw birds of prey and red deer in the fields beyond. The towns of Bergerac and Eymet are delightful with good restaurants and shops and both a short drive away. Book the restaurants in the hight of summer to avoid disappointment.

My family all had an amazing time at Margoux and my two young children absolutely loved the pool! The kitchen was well equipped and each room had a fan which was much needed in the heat! Neil, the owner, was on hand quickly if we needed anything. Eymet didn’t disappoint, such a beautiful town, full of good restaurants! The customer service at French Gite Holidays was very helpful whilst booking the holiday too, I will definitely use them again.

Je vous confirme avoir passer un excellent séjour dans le gîte “MARGOUX”. La maison est très spacieuse et très bien équipée, tout est là pour que le séjour se passe parfaitement bien. La piscine était vraiment appréciable même si nous aurions aimé qu’elle soit chauffée ☺

We loved the property, great location, with lots of beautiful towns and villages within easy reach. Also an easy drive from the airport. Margoux has a very well equipped kitchen and the fact that it has three bathrooms is also a plus when you have a group staying. The pool and outside area were great too. We loved our stay and you wouldn’t have known that the owner lives in the neighbouring property, it all felt very private.

The website and booking process was very easy to use and hassle free. This was a last minute booking and we were very lucky to find that Margoux was available in our preferred area of France. It was everything we were hoping for in terms of a lovely quiet rural location with a lovely aspect and a covered veranda to sit outside in comfort both to eat and to enjoy the evening sunshine with a nice glass of wine.

We saw wild deer on a number of occasions. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Whilst our host lived across the garden and welcomed us on arrival there was no sense of us being disturbed.

We spent May and June 2019 at Margoux. It was a wonderful experience, totally relaxed atmosphere with a spacious patio, pool and an endless backyard. Quiet and comfortable with easy access to the nearby village, Eymet and its multitude of restaurants, marketplace and shops. The owner, Neil, is in a house next door and was immediately responsive to any issue that arose, while at the same time was never obtrusive. We highly recommend a stay at Marqoux.

Thank you very much for a wonderful two week break at Margoux. We have had so much fun and it has been very special spending time as a family. The house, pool, garden and surrounds are simply stunning. It has left us with such lovely memories that we would like to return next year for three weeks!
