This fabulously decorated, well equipped stone gîte is situated just a few kilometres from the small town of Duras with its château steeped in history, weekly market, restaurants and shops. Surrounded by nature, without neighbours or roads, peace and serenity welcomes you in a relaxing and peaceful setting.
There are two gîtes on site, the larger of them, Grand Galicia accommodates up to 7 people in 3 bedrooms.
The large heated swimming pool with its straw hut overlooks stunning scenery and is a great place for lazing in the sun, enjoying al fresco dining and sipping the chilled wines of the Duras appellation. You will find many vineyards dotted around nearby where you can sample the local wines.
The private lake is accessible for walks, picnics and fishing trips without a license. There is play equipment such as swings in the grounds.

The owners live in a nearby property, useful for assistance or local recommendations if required. They’re more than happy to share a drink with you or show you the animals and they may occasionally use the pool, with discretion of course.

This was our second stay at Galicia and we had a wonderful time. Catherine and Laurent are fantastic hosts, there when we need them but also very discrete.
The gites and facilities are excellent. Fastidiously clean and very well equipped. The new spa is a fantastic addition and my sister and I both had incredible massages and we enjoyed the hot tub.
The pool area was wonderful and luckily we had good weather and swam every day. The beds and furnishings are super comfy and we all slept well.

The houses were both great, fantastic rural location and thoughtfully converted and restored. The beds were very comfortable (important for me as I have a bad back). The pool was fabulous with thoughtful shady covered area and a loo. The older children enjoyed the play/ games room. Everything was spotlessly clean. Catherine and Laurent were helpful when needed and incredibly discreet.
This is the third holiday we have booked with you, always helpful when required, good communication and easy to book.

Galice was a little corner of paradise. The pictures do not do it justice. Catherine and Laurant were delightful and so very helpful. Gite is perfectly equipped and perfectly finished. Ideally located to explore the amazing countryside. Lots for families to see and explore. The pool is amazing and the barn is a great addition for keeping everyone entertained. We really enjoyed our stay.
